She Summits began with a simple question: What if events could create real connection, not just attendance?
What if gathering people together could build confidence, spark belonging, and leave a lasting impression - on individuals and on the brands that host them?
Founded in 2019 by Dr. Carla Cupido as a film festival and event series celebrating the female spirit, She Summits started as a platform for powerful storytelling. From mountain films to purpose-filled conversations, the focus was always on elevating women’s voices and creating spaces where they felt seen and inspired.
Over time, She Summits evolved. Laura van der Veer and Danielle Leroux joined forces, bringing together their shared passion for community, facilitation, and purpose-driven business. Together, they shaped She Summits into what it is today: a community-first platform that helps retailers and organizations engage women in meaningful, human ways - through experiences that actually matter.
From in-store workshops and retail pop-ins to nature-based walks, intimate gatherings, and team retreats, She Summits has hosted hundreds of experiences across North America, impacting nearly 10,000 women since 2020. Our work has been co-created alongside thoughtful, values-aligned brands including adidas, Fjällräven, Athleta, Kiehl’s, and more.
We’re not a large agency - and we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We work closely with our partners to design experiences that feel intentional, welcoming, and aligned with both brand values and business goals. The result is community-led engagement that drives trust, loyalty, and repeat connection.
