Two Rivers Meats

Building community at Two Rivers Meats

Since 2023, She Summits has been helping Two Rivers Specialty Meats build community and grow their customer base at their North Vancouver shop and eatery.

Our consulting work began with a focus on bringing more women into their space. We hosted a focus group and charcuterie evening at Two Rivers for an intimate group of women.

In September 2023, we kicked off our wildly popular Hike and Happy Hour: a monthly series that now brings 30+ new guests to the shop each event and creates a sense of community at Two Rivers.

I recently attended Hike and Happy Hour and I must say that it was exceptionally well organized. Special thanks to She Summits and the Two Rivers staff. From the scenic views to the tasty food, everything was simply incredible, and I find it to be a good activity to start new conversations. After the event I was happy to find new friends and connections. If you enjoy hikes, a good chat and a delicious meal, this is the perfect combination!

In September 2023, we also began hosting regular educational events at Two Rivers taught by owner Jason Pleym. Topics have included: Learning how to cook a steak to perfection, building your own charcuterie board, and butchering a chicken.

The events have been extremely well-received by new and old customers, selling out within days, and deepening customer connection to the Two Rivers brand and story.

The chicken butchery class at Two Rivers Meats was informative, practical and fun. I was a bit hesitant at first, having never butchered anything, but I came away feeling confident that I could break apart and make use of an entire chicken. Jason gave expert guidance and some top tips on recipes. Thank you, I’m looking forward to shopping at Two Rivers and attending the next event.
